Kamil's curated list of equipment and plugins

I use those plugins in my day-to-day creative work.

Introduction

Hey, it is me, Kamil Slaby. People often ask me what I use and what I recommend for plugins, so I have put together a list of plugins and virtual instruments that I personally use in all of my projects. They are battle-tested, and I am grateful to the developers for their hard work in making my creative vision possible.

I try to keep the list updated as often as possible. Whenever I get a new piece of equipment or plugin, test it, and it becomes part of my regular workflow, I add it here.

Enjoy! Let me know if you have any better solutions or plugin recommendations.

DAWs

  1. Cockos Reaper
  2. Steinberg Nuendo 14

I run a dual DAW setup. I used to be a Nuendo-only person, but as I started getting more and more time-sensitive work in the music sphere, I needed something with stronger customization options and a better rendering workflow. The choice was simple: Reaper.

I still keep Nuendo because it is great for:

  • Movie mixing with integrated Dolby Atmos renderer
  • Time-aligning tracks
  • Creative sound design with its stock plugins
  • OMF importing (which Reaper, without a workaround, does not currently support)
